FAQs

Who runs The Biology Hub?
The Biology Hub is currently being maintained by a former biology student and future high school biology teacher.

Wait, there aren't any resources listed for *insert biology topic here*.
I view The Biology Hub as a constant work in progress. I've created posts for some of the major High School and University biology courses, but that's not to say more won't come in the future! I do plan on making posts for Biogeography as well as Evolution and Systematics in the near future. Also, if you have any suggestions for other topics that should be on The Biology Hub, let me know!

What if I find a broken link?
By all means, if you find a link that isn't working report it! I try to keep up with each link to make sure it's still functional, but since there's only one person to maintain this whole site, I might not get to a link right away.

I have a really cool site that might be beneficial to others. Do you allow submissions?
If there's a site that you think needs to be on The Biology Hub, let me know! I'm always open to new sites that will help students in their studies and I'd love any suggestions any of you might have.

I posted a comment on a post, but it didn't show up. What gives?
All replies made to posts are sent to me for approval. Since some of the individuals coming to this site are minors, I believe that screening comments for appropriateness is a good idea. Plus it helps to keep annoying spam to a minimum.

I can't view/download/open a link on my computer. What's wrong?
I've checked all the links with both Windows and Apple OS's, but sometimes features won't work with all computers. Things like hard drive space, the type of browser used, or the age of the computer can effect the features on each site. If you find that a certain link doesn't work on a certain browser or with a certain OS, please let me know! I'll try to find something comparable that is more likely to work. If that fails, I can at least label the link so others are given a heads-up.

Some of your links are for downloads...are you sure they're free of viruses?
I scanned all the links that auto download and they were virus free. However, that doesn't mean that the file hasn't since been corrupted. If you're concerned, definitely run a virus scan yourself before downloading (many browsers and preinstalled anti-virus software does this automatically). Also feel free not to download at all! There are plenty of other resources on here that don't require you to save anything to your computer.

How do I contact you with ideas, problems, questions, or concerns?
Either click the "Contact" link at the top of my homepage, go to the "Contact Me" post in my archives (it's the very first post for the month of March, 2011), or click here!
