Virus Links

http://tinyurl.com/y87lgdp Much like the title of the page suggests, this is a good introduction to viruses from the University of California. There are also some links to other resources such as a glossary.

http://tinyurl.com/2w8zd7 Another virus information source, but this goes into much more detail. This is perfect for those of you in AP Biology or similar subjects.

http://tinyurl.com/4sr9ek6 A very extensive list of terms and vocabulary. It also has a set of practice questions and their answers!

http://tinyurl.com/4zpbpz7 A long list of different viruses catalogued by the disease(s) they cause. Also includes a good number of photos of different viruses.

http://tinyurl.com/48reahs While not comprehensive, this site has the major viruses, electron micrographs of each, plus additional information on each. A good companion for laboratory.

http://tinyurl.com/4pdhabs A very interesting documentary on "virus hunters" on Hulu that really shows how all the concepts and knowledge learned in lecture and lab can be applied to real-world situations. A must watch for those interested in careers in virology and disease control! Note: This video might not be viewable to those outside the United States

http://tinyurl.com/6yl97ma A video from a Virology lecture. This is the first day of the class so the information is more of  a general overview.

http://tinyurl.com/5rn9t5a The Biology Hub's Youtube playlist of videos covering viruses and bacteria. Contains two virus videos and four bacteria videos.
